The endpoint for configuration service requests is region-specific: es. region.amazonaws.com. For example, es.us-east-1.amazonaws.com. Direct Connect links your internal network to an Direct Connect location over a standard Ethernet fiber-optic cable. One end of the cable is connected to your router, the other to an Direct Connect router. Additionally, it can also intelligently generate images thumbnails for displaying large images effectively.
