Maintainer Month 2026: we're back!

Open-source maintainers are the backbone of the software world, quietly dedicating their time and expertise to keeping the tools we all rely on alive and well. We are thrilled to once again partner with GitHub for Maintainer Month, joining a community-wide effort to recognize and support their invaluable work.

 What is Maintainer Month?

Maintainer Month is GitHub's annual initiative to celebrate and uplift open-source maintainers around the world. It's a reminder that the software industry stands on the shoulders of thousands of volunteers and independent contributors who keep critical projects healthy.

This year marks the fifth edition of Maintainer Month, and the energy around it keeps growing. The month is filled with events, discussions, and resources designed to help maintainers strengthen their projects and connect with the broader community.  Mockoon and open source — still going strong

Mockoon has been a free and open-source API mocking platform since 2017, and we are as committed to that mission as ever. Our goal has always been to give developers reliable, accessible tooling without gatekeeping it behind a paywall.
